Well, I started out my New Year of 2012 with a 7-day cruise on the Carnival MAGIC with family members and friends, and I have to say, what a great way to start a new year! We all were able to do our own things, yet meet up to enjoy a show or a cocktail together. Our service was excellent, and everyone of all ages had fun activities (or solitude when desired) to enjoy themselves. I love both cruising and land vacations, and highly recommend you give cruising a try if you've never been. It's a great way to see multiple destinations without having to pack and unpack. If there's a port nearby, you can even avoid the hassles of flying. Groups, meetings, weddings, etc are so popular on cruise ships these days as well.
